School-Wide Newspapers

In October 1890, the students of the Second Year Classical, thought things were getting a bit too comfortable at Trinity School- then located at West 45th St. in New York City.  It was noted, "Matters came to such a state of placid peace that whenever anything, even of trivial nature, happened, a derisive bulletin  was written and posted in the room." The notes, or "extras", Master Sidney Small thought, should be enlarged and published.  From there, Daily Doings, established an editor, after, of course finding a sufficient amount of paper.

For the next century, Trinity students and teachers worked hard to ensure the funds, supplies, and creativity to publish a school newspaper that would bring social and  political events, and the creative arts (both inside and outside of Trinity's walls) to its readership.
