Mr. D. Allen Killeffer, Gymnastics and Athletics

Mr. Killeffer, "Killy" to the Trinity boys, earned his B.A. from Franklin and Marshall College and was the namesake for the Gun Club’s Killeffer Cup Award.  Killeffer served with the 71st Regiment during WW I.  According to the Acta Diurna: “Hard work won for him the rank of captaincy, ...Even though an equally good man be found, it will be some time before we can feel toward him as toward our old coach. Throughout his whole career in Trinity, he has executed all his duties in a most conscientious manner. He was the same good fellow to everyone His teams were always of the best, and the number of victories well in advance of the number of defeats. There is not a person in the entire school who is not sorry to see him leave. The best we can do is to wish him the best of luck and safe return.” Acta Diurna, 12/1918
